May we bring in our own food?
Bistro 307 will prepare and serve all food for your event. Cakes are the only exception as long as it is communicated ahead of time.
May we choose more than one entrée?
You are more than welcome to choose additional options from our Buffet menu.
May we request customized meals for guests?
Yes, we are more than happy to customize a meal to fit your group’s budget and taste. We also offer meals upon request for special dietary needs. Please advise the Catering Department 3 days prior to the event.
When do I tell you our food selections?
The Catering Department will need your food selections 2 weeks prior to the function.
When do I need to provide attendance count?
A 14 Day advanced final head count is required. 7-10 days notice needed for customized meals.
How many guests will be seated at each table?
Depending on the number of attendees, we will use round tables with seating of 6-8 people, or long banquet tables with seating of 8-10 people.
May we bring our own alcoholic beverages?
The BEST WESTERN Sheridan Center carries its own liquor license, and is held responsible for complying with its regulations. If the group would like to bring in a certain kind of wine or champagne, then the group will be charged a corking fee, plus 20% gratuity for the service.
What is our age limit for consuming alcohol?
All guests need to be 21 years of age to purchase, consume or have alcoholic beverages in their possession.
What time do we need to vacate the room?
Last call for alcohol is 10:30pm and the room must be vacated by 11pm
How much is the service charge & sale tax?
Currently, the service charge is 20%. The state sales tax is 6% on all food, beverage sales and all a/v equipment rental.
How is payment made for events?
A 30 Day 50% advance non-refundable deposit is required for all food orders . A deposit of the banquet room charge will need to be made at the time of booking.The guests can present a valid credit card, which must be on file prior to the event. Receipts can be sent as needed. Purchase orders and tax exempt status will need to be submitted to the catering department prior to the event.
Do you allow entertainment?
We encourage entertainment. If sound level from bands, entertainment, event or public address system disturbs other guests, our property reserves the right to reduce the sound level, or perform without amplification. Please notify the Catering Department of any entertainment 3 months in advance.
Are we or our guests responsible for damages?
Any damage or additional cleaning costs incurred by the property will be added to the master bill. For any items you want displayed in the meeting rooms, please contact the Catering Department for assistance. Staples, nails, tacks and certain kinds of tape cannot be used on our wall. Due to fire restrictions, NO open flame candles can be used.
What about signage, theme props & decorations?
All items to be placed in the banquet rooms or lobby needs to be preapproved. Signs are provided to direct guests to the event location. Arrangements for centerpieces, specialty props and decorations may be made through the Catering Department. The BEST WESTERN Sheridan Center will not permit affixing to the walls or ceiling of rooms without written approval from the Catering Department.
Can items or audio visual be left in the meeting/banquet room?
The BEST WESTERN Sheridan Center cannot assume responsibility for damages or loss of merchandise or articles left in a banquet room. Prior arrangements with the Catering Department may be made to have the rooms locked when vacant.
Is security required?
Security may be required for certain events. The decision is the sole discretion of management.
